How to Install SSIPTV on Samsung Smart TV & LG Smart TV
The complete, screenshot-ready walkthrough for installing Simple Smart IPTV, pasting your SSIPTV playlist URL, and streaming 24,000+ channels in 4K — all without buying a streaming stick.
Why "SSIPTV" Means Two Things
You'll see "SSIPTV" used two ways online. The first is the free third-party player app called Simple Smart IPTV (shortened to SS IPTV), which is published by a European developer and available in both the Samsung Galaxy Store and the LG Content Store. The second is our premium IPTV subscription (at ssiptv.org) — the channels, movies, and EPG that fill that empty player.
This guide covers both: how to install the Simple Smart IPTV app on your Samsung or LG smart TV, and how to load your SSIPTV subscription into it. One prepay code also works on Firestick, Android TV, and Android phones via our dedicated app — but this post focuses specifically on Samsung and LG owners.
Before You Start — The 3 Things You Need
- A Samsung TV running Tizen 2.3 or newer (any Samsung smart TV from 2015 onwards), or an LG TV running WebOS 4.0 or newer (any LG smart TV from 2018 onwards).
- The free Simple Smart IPTV app — we'll install it from your TV's built-in store in a moment.
- An SSIPTV subscription or free trial. We email you an M3U URL that looks like
https://line.ssiptv.org/get.php?username=XXXX&password=YYYY&type=m3u_plus. Get yours at the 24-hour free trial page or pricing.
Part 1 — Install Simple Smart IPTV on Samsung (Tizen)
- From the Samsung home screen, press the Home button on your remote and navigate to the Apps icon (it looks like four dots in a grid).
- Inside the Apps store, press the magnifying-glass icon at the top right and type Simple Smart IPTV. You can also search SS IPTV — it returns the same result.
- Select the app (the icon is a blue “SS” mark). Click Install. The download is about 20 MB and takes under a minute.
- When install completes, click Open. You'll see the Simple Smart IPTV welcome screen with a 6-digit connection code.
Part 2 — Install SS IPTV on LG (WebOS)
- From your LG home launcher, scroll to the LG Content Store icon and open it.
- Tap the Search icon and enter SS IPTV. The result is published by "Simple Smart IPTV" — that's the correct one.
- Click Install. The download is small (about 15 MB on WebOS).
- When it finishes, launch the app from the Content Store or from your LG home ribbon (it'll be the newest app there).
Part 3 — Load Your SSIPTV Subscription
Simple Smart IPTV doesn't come with any channels — it's an empty player waiting for a playlist URL. Here's how to give it your SSIPTV playlist:
- Inside Simple Smart IPTV, open the Settings menu (gear icon, usually top-right).
- Select Playlist (or "Content" on older Samsung versions).
- Choose External Playlist (sometimes labelled "Internet Playlist").
- Paste your SSIPTV M3U URL — the long URL in the email we sent when you signed up. Use the on-screen keyboard or, much easier, the Samsung SmartThings / LG ThinQ phone app to paste-from-phone.
- Click Save (or the ✓ check mark).
- Go back to the main screen. Open TV Channels or Favorites. You should see the full SSIPTV channel list populated.
Part 4 — Test It
Scroll to a channel — something high-bandwidth like ESPN or Sky Sports Main Event — and press OK. You should see a 2–3 second buffer, then a clean stream. Press the up/down arrows to switch channels; each should zap in under 2 seconds.
Troubleshooting
"Invalid URL" or "Playlist is empty"
Re-open Settings → Playlist → External Playlist. Delete the URL entirely and paste it again — without any leading or trailing spaces. Most "invalid URL" errors are copy-paste mistakes. If it still fails, email help@catchontv1.email and we'll resend a fresh M3U URL.
Channels load but freeze after a few seconds
That's almost always a Wi-Fi issue. Move your router closer to your TV, switch to 5 GHz (not 2.4 GHz) if your TV supports it, or — best — plug an Ethernet cable into your TV. On most Samsung and LG smart TVs, Ethernet is the single biggest improvement you can make for IPTV playback.
EPG (program guide) is missing
Inside Simple Smart IPTV, open Settings → Playlist → check that EPG URL is set (it usually auto-populates from our M3U URL). If it's blank, switch to the "M3U Plus" version we emailed, which includes both the playlist and EPG in one URL.
Some channels show "Service not available in your country"
This usually means your ISP is geo-restricting a specific stream. Try a VPN on a router if you hit this regularly — or contact support and we'll swap you to a different source for that channel.
I have a Samsung Tizen model older than 2015
Simple Smart IPTV requires Tizen 2.3 or newer. If your TV is older, the cleanest fix is to plug a cheap Fire TV Stick (about $30) into any HDMI port and use our Android app there. You'll get exactly the same subscription and channels on that Fire TV Stick.
Alternative Players on Samsung / LG
Simple Smart IPTV is the most popular and reliable Samsung/LG IPTV player, but it isn't the only one. On Samsung, you can also use Smart IPTV (a different developer) or IPTV Smarters Pro. On LG, IPTV Smarters Pro works via the WebOS store. All three accept the same M3U URL — pick whichever looks cleanest to you. If your TV came with Smart IPTV pre-installed on a trial basis, you can still load the SSIPTV playlist into it.
Quick Recap
- Install Simple Smart IPTV from your TV's app store (free, 20 MB).
- Open it → Settings → Playlist → External Playlist.
- Paste the M3U URL from your SSIPTV email. Save.
- Open TV Channels. Stream.
Haven't subscribed yet? Test SSIPTV on your actual Samsung or LG TV first — the 24-hour free trial gives you a working M3U URL in under 5 minutes. No credit card.
