SSIPTV Player App — Setup & Install Guide
Pick your device — you'll be streaming in under 5 minutes.
Before You Start: What's in Your SSIPTV Email
Everything the device guides below ask for arrives in one welcome email after you order.
Your SSIPTV welcome email contains three things, and each guide on this page uses one or more of them:
- Your M3U playlist URL — a personal link that loads the full lineup of 24,000+ live channels and the 180,000+ movie and series library into a compatible player.
- Your prepay code — activates the SSIPTV app on Android, Fire OS and Android TV devices. No M3U typing needed there.
- The APK link and aftv.news code — the download route for the SSIPTV app on devices where it isn't listed in an app store.
The email usually lands within 30 minutes of ordering. If you can't see it, check your spam or junk folder first, then contact support — the team is online 24/7. Not subscribed yet? Start with the 24-hour free trial to test everything on your own TV, or compare plan lengths on the pricing page.

Where Does the M3U URL Go?
The single most common setup question — and the answer depends on which player you're using.
An M3U URL is a plain web link that points at your channel list. When a player opens it, it reads the list and turns it into the channel grid you browse. You never download or edit the file yourself — you paste the link once and the player does the rest.
- Samsung Tizen and LG WebOS (via the third-party Simple Smart IPTV app): open Settings → Playlist → External Playlist, paste the M3U URL, and tap Save.
- Android, Fire OS and Android TV (our SSIPTV app): you don't need the M3U at all — enter your prepay code and the app loads your channels and movies itself.
- Windows PC or Mac (VLC): use Media → Open Network Stream and paste the M3U URL there.
The same link carries both live TV and the on-demand library, so where the player supports VOD you'll see the 180,000+ movies and series alongside the channels. Want to know exactly what that link gives you? Browse the full SSIPTV channel list before you install.
Troubleshooting: The App Won't Load the List
Nine times out of ten this is a typo in the M3U URL. Work through this checklist in order.
Re-paste the M3U URL exactly
An "Invalid URL" or "Playlist is empty" message almost always means the link went in with a trailing space, a missing character, or a line break in the middle. Delete the entry completely, copy the URL straight from your welcome email, and paste it again in one go — don't type it by hand.
Rule out the connection
Open any other streaming app on the same device. If it also struggles, restart your router and the TV or stick, then try again. A wired connection is noticeably steadier than a crowded Wi-Fi network for live TV.
Restart the app and re-save the playlist
On Samsung Tizen and LG WebOS, open Simple Smart IPTV, remove the external playlist, then add it again and tap Save. On Android, Fire OS or Android TV, force-stop the SSIPTV app, clear its cache, and re-enter your prepay code. Either fix takes under 5 minutes.
Still stuck? Talk to a human
If none of the above works, contact support with a photo or screenshot of the error plus your device model. The team answers 24/7 and most setup problems are sorted in under 30 minutes. Common questions are also covered on the FAQ page.
How to Update Your Playlist Later
The lineup changes over time — here's how your device picks the changes up.
Channels are added and rotated as providers change, and the on-demand library keeps growing. You don't need to reinstall anything to receive those updates:
- Simple Smart IPTV (Samsung Tizen / LG WebOS): the app re-reads your external playlist each time it launches. If a channel has moved, close the app fully and reopen it — or open Settings → Playlist and tap Save again to force a refresh.
- SSIPTV app (Android / Fire OS / Android TV): the list refreshes on its own when you open the app.
- VLC: reopen the network stream, or press Ctrl+L / Cmd+L and reload the playlist.
If we ever replace your M3U link, we'll email you the new one — paste it over the old entry in the same External Playlist field and you're current. You can check the live lineup any time on the channels page.
SSIPTV Download & Install — Quick Answers
The questions people ask most before installing.
Is the SSIPTV app free to download?
Yes. The SSIPTV app and the third-party Simple Smart IPTV player for Samsung and LG are both free to install. Watching requires an active SSIPTV subscription — you can test everything first with the 24-hour free trial.
How long does installation take?
On most devices, under 5 minutes from opening the app store or Downloader to watching your first channel. Samsung and LG installs are usually the quickest because there's nothing to sideload.
Does SSIPTV work on Samsung Tizen and LG WebOS?
Yes. Samsung Tizen and LG WebOS are supported through the third-party Simple Smart IPTV app, available free in Samsung Apps and the LG Content Store. You paste your M3U URL into its External Playlist setting — full steps are in the Samsung and LG sections above.
What's the difference between the M3U URL and the prepay code?
Both arrive in your welcome email. The M3U URL loads your channel list into third-party players like Simple Smart IPTV or VLC. The prepay code activates our own SSIPTV app on Android, Fire OS and Android TV — no URL pasting needed there.
Can I install SSIPTV on a second device?
Yes — repeat the same steps on the new device with the same M3U URL or prepay code. How many devices can watch at the same time depends on your plan; the pricing page shows the options, and the FAQ covers device questions in more detail.
